KABAROLE DISTRICT EDUCATION AND SPORTS DEPARTMENT
Kabarole District Education Department is headed by Mr. Rwakaikara Patrick as the District Education Officer. In this department, he works with a very committed team of the following people: Mrs. Kasenene Elizabeth – Senior Education Officer, Mr. Rujumba Joseph – District Inspector of Schools, Mrs. Angwena Harriet Nyakahuma – Education Officer Special Needs Education, Mr. Mutembuzi William – Inspector of Schools, Ms. Matama Norah – Education Officer Guidance & Counseling, Ms. Tumuhairwe Teopista – District Sports Officer, Ms. Kabahenda Joyce – Secretary/Stenographer, Mr. Kayondo Fred– Driver and Ms. Kabatembuzi Beatrice – Office Attendant.

To achieve sustainable socio-economic development through efficient provision of quality services to the people in conformity with national policy and local priorities.
Mandate of Education Department:
To oversee the administration of education services with the aim of achieving the objectives of education. The objectives include: achieving equitable access to relevant and quality education and training towards rapid transformation of the society and economy of the country; to ensure delivery of relevant and quality education and training for self-development and competitiveness in the global job market, enhance efficiency and effectiveness of education and sports in service delivery at all levels. Once the objectives are achieved, then the vision and mission will be realized.
Kabarole District has 63 grant aided primary schools, 236 early childhood development centers (ECD), 74 private primary schools, 07 government aided secondary schools some of which offer U.S.E. program, 11 private secondary schools with some offering U.S.E. program, 1 Core Primary Teachers’ College, 1 technical college, 3 technical schools (Iruhuura, Bishop Balya, Bishop Magambo) and 3 Universities.
