Administration & Management Sector – Kabarole District

Coordinating projects, services, and governance for efficient service delivery.

Overview

The Administration and Management Sector is headed by Mr. Nzeimaana Arthur Hakiza – the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer.
He directly supervises the Departments of Management Support Services, Human Resources Management, Information and Technology, and the Procurement and Disposal Unit.

Established under Article 179 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda 1995 (as amended) and Section 3 & 35 of the Local Governments Act Cap 242 & 243 (as amended), the Administration Department plays a key role in planning, budgeting, and coordination to ensure effective service delivery.

Current Developments

In transitioning from Kitumba after the creation of Fort Portal City, Management is overseeing the construction of the new District Headquarters at Busoro. The first floor, containing several offices and the District Council Chambers, is complete.
Additionally, other structures like the Commercial Building in Fort Portal City have been upgraded.

To coordinate technical supervision of projects, programmes, and services to ensure effective and efficient delivery across the district.

  • Coordinating partnerships

Planned Activities – FY 2025/2026

  1. Construction of headquarters at Mugusu & Kijura Town Councils
  2. Fourth phase construction of new District Headquarters
  3. Construction of a VIP latrine at Rwaihamba market
  4. Continued staff recruitment, retention, and exit management
  5. Support supervision for better service delivery
  6. Monitoring & evaluation
