FINANCE

The department has well qualified manpower both at the District and Lower Local Government level. The department is headed by a professional Accountant.  The District is currently on Integrated Financial Management System, which has greatly improved financial management and production of financial reports.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

• Produced and submitted to the Auditor General Final Accounts for the last five years.  The Audit opinion in all the financial years has been unqualified opinion.
• The Salaries, Pension and Gratuity have been paid and the Pension and Gratuity arrears reduced.
• Produced Annual Budgets and Supplementary budgets for all the past five years and approved by Council.
• Produced the Revenue enhancement plan and implemented part of it.
